Conservation volunteering at Rottnest Island

We're proud to be able to support the communities in which we live and work.

Thats why there were good vibes in October as volunteers from our Perth office ferried out to Rottnest Island (Wadjemup) to support community grant recipient Rottnest Foundation’s important conservation work.

More than 50 Alinta Energy employees took part in the volunteering over two days, removing guards that had been installed to protect fledgling trees from pesky quokkas and other wildlife at the island’s Henrietta Rocks site.

Melissa Galland, First Nations and Community Manager, who helped to arrange the event, said everyone did a great job mucking in as a team.

“Year on year we see so much enthusiasm from the Perth teams who roll up their sleeves and volunteer on the island,” she said.

“It's a great way to do your bit for nature in a beautiful location while getting to hang out with colleagues.”

More than great energy.

That's better™.
