This area shows a summary of the payments you have made since your previous Alinta Energy electricity bill, any balance carried forward (which is payable immediately), as well as the billing period and number of days the account covers. It will also show details of your concession (if eligible) as well as any one-off or special discounts, bonuses or charges. Fault or Emergency
If you need to report an electricity fault or emergency, you'll find the phone number for the local distributor for your home here. You can, of course, also call us and we'll put you through to them.
Your Alinta Energy details
When you contact us, you may be asked for either your customer number or your electricity reference number. You'll also find the name of the plan you're on here.
This shows the amount owing for this account and the due date. Or, if your account is in credit, the amount it’s in credit. If your account has a pay on time discount, be sure to pay on or before the due date, in full, to receive your discount. If you have chosen to pay your accounts by direct debit, there will be a message here confirming the arrangement.
Best Offer Details
This shows if you are on our best available energy plan, based on your Alinta Energy usage history. If there is a better energy plan available for you and your home, we’ll tell you what it is.
Your electricity usage
This graph shows the amount you have spent on electricity per day, for this billing period. Also, a comparison of what you have used this period compared to previous periods. The accounts that cover summer and winter will often be higher (due to heating and cooling costs) than those that cover spring and autumn. This graph also shows the greenhouse gas emissions produced from your home electricity usage. You will also see a benchmarking table which allows you to compare your quarterly usage to the average quarterly usage of other households in your area.
Account in detail
This area shows the breakdown of your electricity charges for this account including how much electricity you've used, whether the account is based on an actual or estimated meter read and the start and end readings for your meter. The distributor's supply charge for the period is also shown here. This is also where you will find your National Meter Identifier (NMI) which is a number specific to the meter installed at your home, the supply address, network tariff and billing period.
Any additional payments you've made leading up to this account being posted will appear here, if we have not been able to present these on the front section of your account.
Our messages to you
We'll often include messages in this area about new products or services we're offering, or just information we think will be important for you to know.
Information of interest
This area includes a range of additional information and contacts that could come in handy for you.
Access to your meter
This is the approximate date your electricity meter will be read again and this read will appear on your next bill from Alinta Energy. If your meter is normally difficult to access, always try to make it available for the few days before and the few days after this date, or your next account may be based on an estimate.
