On Friday 15 November 2019, Australia’s largest residential geothermal installation by Alinta Energy Geothermal won the Excellence in Innovation award at the prestigious AIRAH Awards.
Alinta Energy Geothermal’s Australian made geothermal heating and cooling system, GeoAir is being installed across all 800 new homes at Frasers Property Australia’s 6-Star Green Star Fairwater estate in western Sydney.
Recognised as one of the country’s most environmentally-friendly developments, Fairwater offers homeowners a range of sustainability benefits including geothermal air conditioning which not only reduces household energy consumption but reduces peak energy demand across the entire Fairwater community.
Commenting on the win, Mark Langdon, National Sales Manager of Alinta Energy Geothermal said the award reflected the effectiveness and stability of the company along with the efforts and commitment of employees.
“The award is validation that we are a recognised leader in the HVAC industry and that our outstanding team are able to develop and create innovative geothermal solutions that make a real difference,” Mr Langdon said.
The award recognition also highlights the partnership between Alinta Energy Geothermal and local air conditioning manufacturer ActronAir who together designed and developed the GeoAir system. Recognising excellence and achievement in Australia’s HVAC&R industry, the AIRAH Awards celebrates the industry’s high achievers, stand-out projects and ground-breaking innovations.
