Government assistance available
The Federal and State governments offer a range of programs and concession rebates to eligible Residential or Business Customers to assist households and businesses with their energy costs. Here you can find information on what may be available to you.
Energy Bill Relief Fund: The Australian Government is partnering with state and territory governments to provide electricity bill relief for eligible households and small businesses. The states and territories will administer the rebates. The rebate will be applied in phases, starting from 31 July 2023. Refer to the relevant state below for more information.
Queensland households may be eligible for a $175 Cost of Living Rebate as part of the Queensland Government’s response to the extra cost of living pressures Queenslanders may be facing. The rebate will be automatically credited and will appear on residential customers’ bills when available. For further information click here.

Energy & Water Ombudsman NSW (EWON)The Energy & Water Ombudsman NSW (EWON) provides a free and independent dispute resolution service for all electricity and gas customers in NSW. Energy Accounts Payment Assistance (EAPA)Vouchers are sent electronically to the energy retailer for eligible customers having difficulty paying their home electricity or gas account. Low Income Household RebateA credit on each quarterly energy bill, up to a total of $285 per financial year, to help eligible households cover the costs of their energy bills.
