The Federal and State governments offer a range of programs and concession rebates to eligible Residential or Business Customers to assist households and businesses with their energy costs. Here you can find information on what may be available to you.

Energy Bill Relief Fund: The Australian Government is partnering with state and territory governments to provide electricity bill relief for eligible households and small businesses. The states and territories will administer the rebates. The rebate will be applied in phases, starting from 31 July 2023. Refer to the relevant state below for more information.

Electricity Bill Relief

The Commonwealth and NSW State governments are working together to provide targeted electricity bill relief to eligible households. If you live in NSW, you can get $500 per eligible household. Criteria applies. For further information, click here.

Energy & Water Ombudsman NSW (EWON)

The Energy & Water Ombudsman NSW (EWON) provides a free and independent dispute resolution service for all electricity and gas customers in NSW. EWON can also give you advice and guidance if you are having difficulty paying your energy or water bills. Visit them online, or alternatively, you can call 1800 246 545.

Energy Accounts Payment Assistance (EAPA)

Vouchers are sent electronically to the energy retailer for eligible customers having difficulty paying their home electricity or gas account. For further information click here.

Family Energy Rebate

Up to $180 credit to cover the costs of energy bills for eligible family households with dependent children. For further information click here.

Low Income Household Rebate

A credit on each quarterly energy bill, up to a total of $285 per financial year, to help eligible households cover the costs of their energy bills. For further information click here.

Gas Rebate

A credit on each quarterly gas bill, up to a total of $110 per financial year, to help cover costs of natural gas bills. For further information click here.

Seniors Energy Rebate

A $200 rebate per household, per financial year is available for eligible independent self-funded retirees. Gas accounts are not included. For further information click here.
