Saltwater Freshwater

Sponsoring the 2024 Saltwater Freshwater Festival

In July 2024, the Oven Mountain Pumped Hydro Project and Alinta Energy proudly sponsored the Saltwater Freshwater Festival in Kempsey, New South Wales in celebration of the traditions of the Gumbaynggirr, Dunghutti, Biripi, and Worimi nations.

As Yarn Tent sponsor, we provided a space for language workshops and speaker panels to discuss important issues affecting First Nations peoples, including the preservation of traditional languages.

Microskills expanding regional opportunities

We proudly collaborated with TAFE New South Wales and seven other industry partners to develop the pumped hydro segment of their 'Prepare to work in the renewable energy sector' microskill course.

Aimed at school students, recent graduates, residents near Renewable Energy Zones, and career changers, this self-directed online course can spark interest in renewable energy careers and highlight the long-term benefits of transitioning to our sector.
