For small business, we'll need at least three business days' notice* with clear, safe meter access.

If you’ve left it a little late to move your business energy, give our small business team a call on 13 39 08. Our dedicated on-shore call centre team is available Monday to Friday 8am-6pm and 8am-12pm on Saturdays.

Moving business? We’ll need:

  • your new address;
  • the date you are moving in or would like power connected;
  • NMI / MIRN if you have it available, otherwise your ABN or ACN can be used;
  • personal details such as full name, DOB, contact details and ID details (drivers license, passport, or Medicare) – only if you are a sole trader.

In most cases no. However, if the distributor requires a person over the age of 18 to be there, we will let you know.

The distributor may charge a move in or move out fee. These charges will appear on your energy bill. To see applicable fees click here.

If you are an existing Alinta Energy customer please call us to arrange the move out. If you're with another provider, you'll need to contact them to close the account.

(*) 3 business days’ notice required. You must ensure there is clear and safe meter access. To have power reconnected, the mains switch must be in the ‘off’ position and all other safety requirements met.
