Terms and conditions for the "Great Alinta Energy Appliance Upgrade" Promotion (Competition)

10) Eligibility to Enter

1. You are only eligible to enter (and win!) the Competition if you are an Eligible Entrant. You are an Eligible Entrant if, at the time of entry, you:

1. are:

1. a resident of New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland or South Australia;
2. at least 18 years old; and
3. the account holder of an active residential Alinta Energy electricity and/or gas account;

2. are not:

1. an employee, agent, or contractor for the Promoter;
2. a relative of any employee, agent, or contractor of the Promoter (being a spouse, parent, step-parent, sibling or child of that employee, agent, or contractor); or
3. a former Alinta Energy customer who has cancelled their account, whose supply of energy has been cancelled by either the customer or Alinta Energy.

2. We reserve the right, at any time, to:

1. request proof that your entry is valid and that you are an Eligible Entrant (including proof of your identity, age, place of residence, or relationship to an employee of the Promoter); and

2. disqualify any Eligible Entrant who:

1. submits an entry form (where relevant) that does not comply with these Terms; or
2. tampers with the entry process.

3. If your entry contains an error or an omission, it is up to the Promoter's discretion to decide whether or not to accept it as a valid entry.

11) Notification and Collection of Prizes

1. Winners will be determined by random digital draw conducted on the following dates at 11:00am AEST from all eligible entries received during the Competition Period at the Alinta Energy Sydney office, located at address: Level 13, 225 George Street, Sydney NSW 2000 (the Draw):

• 2, Wednesday 3 June 2026
• 3, Wednesday 10 June 2026
• 4, Wednesday 17 June 2026
• 5, Wednesday 24 June 2026
• 6, Wednesday 1 July 2026
• 7, Wednesday 8 July 2026
• 8, Wednesday 15 July 2026
• 9, Wednesday 22 July 2026
• 10, Wednesday 29 July 2026

You do not need to be present at the Draw to win.

2. If you are the winner, we will attempt to contact you using the details provided in your entry within two business days of the Draw. We may also attempt to contact you via phone.
3. We accept no responsibility for failing to notify you that you have won the Competition if we cannot reasonably reach you during ordinary business hours.
4. The winner's first name, last name and postcode will also be published on the Alinta Energy website as soon as practicable (within 28 days) after the Draw.
5. Once notified, you must claim your Prize within 28 days. Any unclaimed Prizes will remain the property of the Promoter.
6. If we cannot reasonably contact you, we may conduct a redraw and award the Prize to a substitute winner. If required, the redraw will occur at the same time and location as the original draws on Thursday 27 August 2026. Winners of an unclaimed prize will be notified in writing via email within 2 business days of the redraw and published (winner's initial of their first name, last name and postcode) on the Alinta Energy website within 28 days of the redraw.
7. All decisions made by us regarding the running of the Competition, the Draw, and the determination of the winner are final and not subject to challenge.

12) Privacy

1. By entering the Competition, you agree that:

1. we may publish your name and other details to promote the Competition and our business. For example, if you win, we may publish your first name and suburb on our website, social media, or in newsletters, without payment to you;
2. if the Competition involves an event, we may use photos or videos taken of you at that event (whether you are the focus or part of a larger crowd) for ongoing promotional purposes, without payment of compensation;
3. we may use your personal information (including name, address, phone number, and email address) for future marketing purposes in line with our Privacy Policy, available on Alinta Energy's website at www.alintaenergy.com.au/privacy; and
4. we may contact you from time to time, including by email, SMS, or phone, to keep you informed about our products and offers, even after your energy plan has ended, unless you opt out in accordance with our Privacy Policy or by using the unsubscribe link in our marketing emails.

13) Other Information

1. We may terminate, vary, or suspend the Competition:

1. in line with the governing laws of the state where the Competition is being conducted; or
2. where circumstances outside the Promoter's reasonable control occur, subject to any written directions from a relevant regulatory authority (a Force Majeure Event). Force Majeure Events include (but are not limited to) acts of war, terrorism, public health event, or natural disasters in Australia.

2. If we choose not to enforce our rights under these Terms or at law at any stage, that does not constitute a waiver of those rights.
3. Winners accept all risks, responsibilities, and restrictions associated with accepting and using the Prize. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Promoter and its respective related bodies corporate, officers, employees, agents, and contractors are not responsible for any loss, damage, accident, death, or injury arising in connection with the Competition.
4. Nothing in these Terms limits, excludes or modifies or purports to limit, exclude or modify the statutory consumer guarantees as provided under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth), or any similar protections under Western Australian consumer law.
