GOAT movie terms and conditions

1)Competition DetailsWin 1 of 100 double passes to see GOAT Promotion (Competition)
  This Competition is a game of chance. Skill plays no part in determining the winner.
2)Promoter DetailsAlinta Energy Retail Sales Pty Ltd (ABN 22 149 658 300), Level 13, 225 George Street, Sydney, NSW 2000 (02 9372 2600) and Alinta Sales Pty Ltd (ABN 92 089 531 984), Level 18, 300 Murray Street, Perth WA 6000 (02 9372 2600) (the Promoter, otherwise referred to as us or we in these Terms).
3) LocationNew South Wales, Victoria, Queensland, South Australia and Western Australia
4)Competition PeriodThe Competition commences on 9 February 2026, 12.00am AEST
  The Competition closes on 2 March 2026, 12.00am AEST.
5)Entry Method
  1. If you are an existing Alinta Energy customer, you can enter the Competition by visiting alintaenergy.com.au/competitions and submitting the online entry form.
  2. We must receive your entry before the Competition Period ends. Your entry is deemed to have been "received" at the time our database records it as such.
  3. Entries received after the Competition Period ends will automatically be deemed as invalid.
  4. We accept no responsibility for late, lost, or misdirected entries due to technical disruptions, network congestions, internet bogeymen, mercury being in retrograde, or any other reason.
6)Maximum number of entries
  1. You are only allowed to submit one entry per account to the Competition.
  2. If you submit more than one entry, only your first submitted entry will be counted as valid.
7)Prize Details
  1. If you are drawn as a winner of this Competition, you will receive 1 x in season double pass (admits two) to see GOAT (to the value of $40) (the Prize) - Hooray!
  2. We will be drawing 100 winners in total.
  3. You can use the Prize:
  • from opening day until end of season;
  • at all participating cinemas screening the film - Hoyts, Event Cinema, BCC, Palace, Dendy, United and any independent cinemas;
  • for standard seating cinemas only;
  • at any session time other than after 5pm on Saturdays, public holidays, or on discount days at each applicable cinema.
8)Total Prize Pool$4,000
9)TransferabilityThe Prize cannot be transferred to another person or energy account, nor exchanged for cash.

                

10) Eligibility to Enter

  1. You are only eligible to enter (and win!) the Competition if you are an Eligible Entrant. You are an Eligible Entrant if, at the time of entry, you:
  1. are:
  1. a resident of New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland, South Australia and Western Australia
  2. at least 18 years old; and
  3. the account holder of an active residential Alinta Energy electricity and/or gas account;
  1. are not:
  1. an employee, agent, or contractor for the Promoter;
  2. a relative of any employee, agent, or contractor of the Promoter (being a spouse, parent, step-parent, sibling or child of that employee, agent, or contractor); or
  3. a former Alinta Energy customer who has cancelled their account, whose supply of energy has been cancelled by either the customer or Alinta Energy.
  1. We reserve the right, at any time, to:
  1. request proof that your entry is valid and that you are an Eligible Entrant (including proof of your identity, age, place of residence, or relationship to an employee of the Promoter); and
  1. disqualify any Eligible Entrant who:
  1. submits an entry form (where relevant) that does not comply with these Terms; or
  2. tampers with the entry process.
  1. If your entry contains an error or an omission, it is up to the Promoter's discretion to decide whether or not to accept it as a valid entry.

11) Notification and Collection of Prizes

  1. The winner will be chosen by random digital selection on 3 March 2026 at 3pm AEST at the Alinta Energy Perth office at 300 Murray Street, Perth WA 6000 (the Draw). You do not need to be present at the Draw to win.
  2. If you are the winner, we will attempt to contact you using the details provided in your entry within two business days of the Draw.
  3. We accept no responsibility for failing to notify you that you have won the Competition if we cannot reasonably reach you during ordinary business hours.
  4. The winner's first name and suburb will also be published on the Alinta Energy website as soon as practicable after the Draw.
  5. Once notified, you must claim your Prize within 28 days. Any unclaimed Prizes will remain the property of the Promoter.
  6. If we cannot reasonably contact you, we may conduct a redraw and award the Prize to a substitute winner.
  7. All decisions made by us regarding the running of the Competition, the Draw, and the determination of the winner are final and not subject to challenge.

12) Privacy

  1. By entering the Competition, you agree that:
  1. we may publish your name and other details to promote the Competition and our business. For example, if you win, we may publish your first name and suburb on our website, social media, or in newsletters, without payment to you;
  2. if the Competition involves an event, we may use photos or videos taken of you at that event (whether you are the focus or part of a larger crowd) for ongoing promotional purposes, without payment of compensation;
  3. we may use your personal information (including name, address, phone number, and email address) for future marketing purposes in line with our Privacy Policy, available on Alinta Energy's website at www.alintaenergy.com.au/privacy; and
  4. we may contact you from time to time, including by email, SMS, or phone, to keep you informed about our products and offers, even after your energy plan has ended, unless you opt out in accordance with our Privacy Policy or by using the unsubscribe link in our marketing emails.

13) Other Information

  1. We may terminate, vary, or suspend the Competition:
  1. in line with the governing laws of the state where the Competition is being conducted; or
  2. where circumstances outside the Promoter's reasonable control occur, subject to any written directions from a relevant regulatory authority (a Force Majeure Event). Force Majeure Events include (but are not limited to) acts of war, terrorism, public health event, or natural disasters in Australia.
  1. If we choose not to enforce our rights under these Terms or at law at any stage, that does not constitute a waiver of those rights.
  2. Winners accept all risks, responsibilities, and restrictions associated with accepting and using the Prize. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Promoter and its respective related bodies corporate, officers, employees, agents, and contractors are not responsible for any loss, damage, accident, death, or injury arising in connection with the Competition.
  3. Nothing in these Terms limits, excludes or modifies or purports to limit, exclude or modify the statutory consumer guarantees as provided under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth), or any similar protections under Western Australian consumer law.
