Important information
If you're on a demand or time of use tariff and would prefer a plan with a single rate electricity structure, you can switch to our Standing Offer single rate plan.

A Standing Offer is a standard energy plan available to residential and eligible small business customers. All energy retailers are required to offer one, with standard terms and conditions prescribed under applicable energy laws.

Standing Offers provide access to electricity and gas without signing up to a specific Market Offer. They are suitable for customers who prefer a standard energy contract or have not chosen another plan.

How does a Standing Offer work?

The terms and conditions of a Standing Offer are set by government energy regulations rather than being determined by the retailer. Standing Offer rates and charges vary depending on where you live and the energy services available at your property.

If you're supplied energy through a Standing Offer, you'll continue to receive electricity and gas under the terms of that contract unless you choose another eligible plan or the contract ends in accordance with its terms.

Tip callout

Good to know: Being on a Standing Offer doesn't affect the quality or reliability of your energy supply. The offer relates to your energy plan and pricing, not the delivery of electricity or gas to your property.
