At Alinta Energy, we believe in honesty and sharing the ins and outs of the energy market with you. We're committed to making renewables reliable and budget-friendly. That's True PowerTM.
What do we stand for?
At Alinta Energy, we're committed to being honest about where Australia's energy comes from as we transition towards a net-zero future. We want you to be the best informed about the energy market. That way, you can understand where your energy comes from, and why - as we work towards a more sustainable future. We're committed to making the transition to renewables as reliable and affordable as possible. That's True PowerTM.
Over a million people rely on us.
We've been supplying energy to Australians for over 25 years. We sell gas and electricity to over one million customers and we employ over 1000 people across Australia and New Zealand.
In Western Australia, we operate in the Pilbara and the Southwest, including Perth. Further east, we're in South Australia, Victoria, New South Wales, and Southeast Queensland.
We help power Australia.
Alinta Energy owns and operates power stations across Australia, including the Braemar Power Station in Queensland, the Wagerup Power Station in Western Australia - as well as the Glenbrook Power Station in New Zealand.
In January 2018, we acquired the Loy Yang B Power Station in Victoria. This $1 billion investment helped secure hundreds of Australian jobs and contributes to ensuring a reliable and affordable energy supply for around 1.5 million homes in Victoria.
We also operate distribution infrastructure across Australia, helping deliver around 3,000MW of power to Australian homes and businesses.
As well as working to make energy more affordable, we're underwriting or directly investing in 1,500MW of large-scale renewable energy by 2025. These renewable generation and innovative projects across Australia include solar power, battery storage, and major wind farm operations.
