Round 11 Community Grants announced

Here are the latest recipients of our ongoing Community Grants Program, supporting grassroots organisations contributing to improving the social, environmental and economic conditions in the communities in which we operate.

We’re excited to share that five incredible not-for-profit organisations have been selected as recipients of our latest Community Grants Program.

This year, we received a high number of strong applications from across the community, each demonstrating passion, purpose, and a commitment to making a meaningful difference. After a thorough assessment process, we’re proud to support five organisations whose projects will deliver lasting social and environmental impact.

3rd Space — Power for Connection (QLD)

3rd Space Brisbane is a trusted day time drop in centre supporting thousands of people experiencing or at risk of homelessness each year. 3rd Space provides essentials like showers, clean clothing, nutritious meals and wrap around services including health care, legal support, employment pathways and housing assistance.

Our grant will help fund their Power for Connection project, installing a secure phone charging tower. This simple but vital service ensures safe, reliable access to charge phones, helping individuals stay connected to housing providers, Centrelink, health services, employment opportunities and family. It also eases pressure on staff and boosts safety within the centre.

The project will support up to 150 people every day, improving digital inclusion, dignity and access to critical services.

Redfern Jarjum College — Daily meals for Jarjum students (NSW)

Redfern Jarjum College provides a culturally safe, full-service learning environment for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, ensuring they feel connected, supported and ready to learn. A daily breakfast and lunch program plays a vital role in helping students overcome barriers to education by providing nourishment, dignity and a strong sense of belonging.

Our grant will help Jarjum continue delivering daily meals for every student, ensuring no child starts the school day hungry. In 2024, the program delivered over 3,500 meals, supporting 90% attendance and a significant reduction in behavioural incidents.

This funding sustains a foundation of wellbeing that underpins every success at Jarjum, strong engagement, improved focus and pride in culture.

Blinman Community Shed — Sustainable power for community garden (SA)

The Blinman Community Shed supports the township’s 22 residents by providing a hub for connection, community gardening, and essential facilities. Currently reliant on costly petrol generators, the community has faced limitations in operating infrastructure and programs year-round.

Our grant will fund a solar installation, providing reliable, sustainable power for the community garden, wastewater system, and toilets. This ensures essential services are accessible, reduces operational costs, and strengthens community resilience.

The project will support social connection, expand community programming, and deliver lasting benefits for one of South Australia’s most remote communities.

Women's Shelter Armidale — Brew and Belonging (NSW)

Women’s Shelter Armidale has supported women, children, and young people impacted by family and domestic violence and homelessness since 1977. Their Brew and Belonging program provides over 400 meals each week, fostering connection, dignity, and consistent access to nutritious food.

Our grant will help sustain these vital services, ensuring the crisis refuge continues to provide immediate safety while caseworkers support women to create plans that reflect their strengths and choices. Participants are connected with health, legal, housing, and education services, alongside training opportunities in youth work, food handling, and barista skills.

The project reduces food insecurity and social isolation, strengthens independence, and supports women and children to rebuild their lives with safety, dignity, and long-term stability.

Bridge Builders — Backpack Buddies (WA)

Backpack Buddies helps children experiencing weekend hunger by providing nutritious food when school-based supports aren’t available. The program addresses child poverty, supporting health, wellbeing, and school readiness.

Our grant will expand the program, reducing the waitlist and reaching more children in need, ensuring they have reliable access to food and the security, dignity, and stability every child deserves.

The project eases household pressure, improves focus and wellbeing, and directly supports children to return to school nourished and ready to learn.
