Yandin Wind Farm hits five-year milestone

Now five years on from its first power generation, Yandin Wind Farm (a RATCH Australia and Alinta Energy investment, managed by Alinta Energy) remains one of Australia’s top-performing wind farms.

With 51 turbines generating up to 214 megawatts of power, Yandin is a true renewable powerhouse – delivering enough renewable energy to power the equivalent of approximately 200,000 households across Western Australia each year.

“Yandin is more than just a wind farm – it’s a symbol of what’s possible when we combine innovation and commitment,” said Ken Woolley, Executive Director of Merchant Energy, Alinta Energy. “It’s a testament to the people who’ve helped to make it happen, from our engineers and operators, to host landowners and our partners.”

This five-year milestone marks a significant achievement in our co-ownership and collaboration with RATCH Australia, with operational support from Vestas-Australian Wind Technology, whose expertise has helped ensure Yandin’s strong performance.
