If you want to enter this Competition, these are the terms and conditions that will apply to you (Terms):
- By submitting an entry into the Competition, you are deemed to have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms.
- This Competition is promoted and run by Alinta Sales Pty Ltd trading as Alinta Energy (ABN 92 089 531 984), Level 18, 300 Murray Street, Perth WA 6000 (the Promoter, otherwise referred to as us or we in these Terms).
What’s the Prize?
- If you’re drawn as the winner of this Competition, you will receive 1 x Mastercard Gift Card to the value of $200 (the Prize) – Hooray!
- The Prize can’t be transferred to another person or energy account, nor exchanged for cash.
How do I enter?
- You can enter the Competition by signing up to the Fair Go 46 offer via alintaenergy.com.au/bigdealwin or 08 7140 1392. This offer is only available for the recipient of the marketing letter for Summer Usage campaign.
- The Competition commences at 9am AWST on 15 April 2024 and closes at 10pm AWST 26 July 2024. (Competition Period).
- We must receive your entry before the Competition Period ends. Your entry is deemed to have been ‘received’ at the time our database records it as such.
- Entries received after the Competition Period ends will automatically be deemed as invalid.
- You are only allowed to submit one entry per account, to the Competition. If you submit more than one entry, only your first submitted entry will be counted as valid.
- We accept no responsibility for late, lost, or misdirected entries due to technical disruptions, network congestions, internet bogeymen, mercury being in retrograde, or any other reason.
Am I eligible to enter?
- You’re only eligible to enter (and win!) the Competition if you are an Eligible Entrant. You’ll be an Eligible Entrant if when entering you:
- are:
- a Western Australian resident;
- at least 18 years old; and
- the account holder of an active residential Alinta Energy gas account ; and
- the named recipient on the letter containing the sign up details for Fair Go 46 competition plus link to the Competition.
- aren't:
- an employee, agent, or contractor for the Promoter;
- a relative of any employee, agent, or contractor of the Promoter (being a spouse, parent, step-parent, sibling or child of that employee, agent, or contractor); or
- a former Alinta Energy customer who has cancelled their account whose supply of gas has been cancelled by either the customer or Alinta Energy.
- We reserve the right at any time to:
- request proof that your entry is valid and that you’re an Eligible Entrant (including proof of your identity, age, place of residence, or relationship to an employee of the Promoter); and
- disqualify any Eligible Entrant who:
- submits an entry form (where relevant) that doesn’t comply with these Terms; or
- tampers with the entry process.
- If you’ve made an error or an omission in your entry, it’s up to us in our discretion to decide whether or not to accept it as a valid entry.
How do I know if I’ve won?
- We will draw a winner by random digital selection on 29 July 2024 (Draw).
- If you’re the winner, we’ll try notify you using the contact details you provided us in your entry within 1 week of the Draw.
- However, we accept no responsibility for failing to notify you that you’ve won the Competition if we can’t reasonably reach you during ordinary business hours.
- We may also publish the winner’s first name and suburb on the Alinta Energy website as soon as reasonably practicable after the Draw.
- Once we notify you that you’ve won, you will need to claim the Prize within 30 days. Any unclaimed Prizes remain the Promoter’s property.
- If we can’t reasonably get in touch with you, then we may conduct a second draw and award the Prize to a substitute winner.
- Our decisions regarding how to conduct the Competition, complete the Draw, and determine the winner are final and cannot be contested.
How are you using the personal information I submit in my entry?
- By entering the Competition, you consent to:
- us publishing your name and other information for the purposes of us promoting the Competition and our business. For example, if you win the competition, we will publish your first name and suburb, on our website or in our newsletters without providing any remuneration to you;
- us using any promotional pictures or videos we might take of you during an event on an ongoing basis without providing any royalties to you, if the Competition relates to a specific event (including where you might feature as the star of those photos or videos, or where you might just be part of a bigger crowd);
- your personal information (including name, address, telephone number and email address) being used for future marketing purposes in accordance with our privacy policy, which is available on Alinta Energy’s website at www.alintaenergy.com.au/privacy; and
- being contacted from time to time, including through electronic means and/or telephone, to be kept informed about our products and offers, even after your energy plan has ended, unless you opt out by contacting us in accordance with the approach set out in our privacy policy or by clicking the unsubscribe link contained in all our marketing emails.
Other important legal information
- We may terminate the Competition early or vary these terms in accordance with the Gaming and Wagering Commission Act 1987 (WA).
- If we don’t enforce our rights force any of our rights under these Terms or at law at any stage, that doesn’t constitute a waiver of those rights.
- Winners accept all risks, responsibilities and restrictions associated with accepting and using the Prize. To the maximum extent permitted by law, neither the Promoter, nor any of their respective related bodies corporate or their respective officers, employees, agents or contractors accepts or otherwise has any responsibility for any loss, damage, accident, death or injury resulting from or arising out of or in any way connected with the Competition.
- Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits, excludes or modifies or purports to limit, exclude or modify the statutory consumer guarantees as provided under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth), as well as any other implied warranties or similar consumer protection laws in Western Australia.
