Rottnest volunteers

Employee Volunteering Program

We run a volunteering program for employees providing an additional annual day of paid leave to support a not-for-profit close to their heart.

We're very proud of our employees' contributions, and in the last financial year, Alinta Energy workers have provided more than 200 working days of volunteer service.

Encouraging our people to engage with causes they’re passionate about helps develop personal growth, improves wellbeing, and strengthens our employees' ties to the community.

Eight volunteers from our Sydney office spent their community volunteering day prepping meals for around 100 people in support of our communuity partner Salvos in Sydney. The team served teas and coffees through the morning before serving up a large batch lunch with lots of options to choose from.

Taking out the trash at River Torrens

Several employees from our Adelaide office gathered to help clean up the banks of the River Torrens in support of our community partner Conservation Volunteers Australia. It was a great teambuilding exercise resulting in the collection of a large amount of rubbish.
