At your new home, make sure the main switch is set to 'off'. Leaving it on can delay reconnection.
Make sure we can access your electricity meter. Locked gates, hazards or protective pets can cause delays.
Some states require safety checks when you sign up online. Make sure these are done before moving day.
Once you've moved in, you can track your energy usage and easily manage your account by downloading the Alinta Energy app.

In most cases no. However, if the distributor requires a person over the age of 18 to be there, we will let you know.
The distributor (a separate company to Alinta Energy) may charge a move-in or move-out fee. These charges will appear on your energy bill. To see applicable fees, click here.
If you're an existing Alinta Energy customer, please call us to arrange the move out. If you're with another provider, you'll need to contact them to close the account.
