The Australian Government is partnering with state and territory governments to provide electricity bill relief for eligible households and small businesses. The rebate will be applied in phases, starting from 31 July 2023. Please note: for our residential customers - if you currently have a valid concession card active on your Alinta Energy account, rebates will automatically be applied to your account by Alinta Energy - there is no need for you to take any further action. Yes our solar feed-in tariffs in Victoria will be decreasing from 6.7 cents per kWh to 4.9 cents per kWh on 1 July 2023 for existing Victorian Standing Offer customers and for new customers looking to join. For existing Victorian Market Offer customers your solar feed-in tariff will also change from 1 August from 6.7 cents per kWh to 4.9 cents per kWh.
If you’re an existing customer and you decide to add a property/fuel, move home or change plan from 1 July 2023 you will receive the new solar feed-in tariff of 4.9 cents per kWh.
The decrease is in line with the minimum feed-in-tariff as set by the Essential Services Commission. The minimum flat rate feed-in-tariff rate set by the Essential Services Commission for 2023-24 is 4.9 cents per kilowatt hour.
