It’s one thing to provide great gas deals to our customers, but we think looking after our local communities is a big deal too. We’re proud to be part of the WA community and we’re always looking for ways to give back across our state. We’ve called WA home for over 25 years and during that time we’ve partnered with many local community organisations to help make a positive difference. Today, our community development program will see us contribute $2.5m dollars over 5 years.
We have entered into partnerships with three organisations that do tremendous work in our communities, day in, day out. Together with the Salvation Army, Foodbank and Conservation Volunteers Australia, we’re helping to address social disadvantage and environmental sustainability at the level where it can make a major difference.
Keeping our communities safe, inclusive and vibrant for all ages isn’t easy. But for the five recent recipients of our first round of community grants, it’s simply what they do. To help them continue their good work, we provide grants of up to $20,000. Along with offering grants, our power stations also provide direct donations to a number of community activities and organisations.
Many of us at Alinta Energy remember lining the streets of Perth as kids to watch the Christmas Pageant. There we’d stand, staring wide-eyed as the colourful floats glided by, furiously waving to Fat Cat and Santa and the elves.
Now that we’re all grown up, we’re proud to sponsor the annual Alinta Energy Christmas Pageant for new generations to experience. Being able to bring the magic of Christmas to the City of Perth for kids (and big kids) to enjoy is a real privilege.
