Gas Account Service Fees

Account Service Fee (Residential) Covers some of the costs incurred in servicing our customers.	22.07 cents per day
Account Establishment Fee Covers the cost of establishing a new Alinta Energy account.	$45.00
Credit Card Payment Fee A fee that applies to all bills paid by credit card to cover the cost incurred by Alinta Energy when accepting payment by credit card. This fee will appear on the next account after the bill is paid.	0.70%
Dishonour Fee Covers the costs incurred when a cheque or direct debit is dishonoured.	$20.00
Overdue Notice Fee Covers the cost of printing and posting overdue notices.	$12.00
Reconnection Fee The cost to attend a property to reconnect the gas supply.	$42.00
Over the Counter Fee Australia Post physical transaction fees	$3.20
Paper Bill Fee Covers the cost of printing and mailing the bill.	$1.75
Meter Testing Fee (Meter Retake and Test) Recovers fee charged by ATCO Gas Australia for removing a meter and testing it in a laboratory. This fee is refundable if the meter is found to be faulty.	$307.49
Special Meter Reading Fee (Special Read) Recovers fee charged by ATCO Gas Australia to attend a property to carry out a special meter reading.	$11.63
Booked Meter Read Fee (Special read at appointed time) The costs incurred to attend a property to carry out a meter reading at a specified date and time.	$102.16

Gas Connection Works Service Fees

Works Cancellation Fee Recovers the fee charged by ATCO Gas Australia where a customer cancels a request for a new connection.	$294.03
Trenching Fee (trench provided) Installing the first 20 metres of gas service pipes for an established single dwelling is free. This fee recovers the costs charged by ATCO Gas Australia for running of a gas service in excess of 20 metres where a trench has been provided.	$61.47 per metre
Multi Dwelling Connection Fee A fixed connection fee for connecting a strata titled property.	$196.45
Commercial Connection Fee A fixed connection fee for new commercial connections.	$784.02
Meter Removal Fee A fixed charge for the removal of a gas meter at the request of a customer.	$180.35
Regulator Replacement Fee Recovers fee charged by ATCO Gas Australia for regulator replacements due to pressure upgrade to 2.75kPa.	$210.00
